Aerobatics

Aerobatics encompasses the art and sport of flying an aircraft through different maneuvers in the air. The International Aerobatic Club (IAC) exists to promote safe aerobatic flying both in the USA and internationally.

The IAC fulfills many purposes in the aerobatic community-more than 50 IAC chapters help foster aerobatics nationwide. It hands out awards and recognizes pilots for their proficiency in aerobatic flight. Dozens of aerobatic competitions each year are sanctioned and overseen by the IAC. It also encourages and sponsors instructional programs to teach pilots and help them become better at aerobatic flying.

The IAC is NAA’s representative for aerobatics and is responsible for the administration, management, and promotion of the sport in the United States. It is also a division of the Experimental Aircraft Association. Membership is open to all who are interested in aviation.
