Balloons Over Bavarian Inn is a small event flown around Frankenmuth, Michigan. There will be 25 Balloons competing in six possible flights with 8 Balloons Glowing each night. The event will also be accompanied by Dog Bowl.

All contestants must have a valid AMA license or modeling license of their home country. Entry Fee AMA Adult: $175 for the weekend if you pre-register before April 1st, after will be $225. If you cannot attend for all three days then the cost will be $75/day. AMA Youth Senior/Youth Junior: $35.00 for the weekend

Albuquerque will again be holding the Rio Grande Classic, Southwest Regional Championship, and the NM State Championship over Memorial day weekend. Flight Operations will be generally in the North Rio Rancho and Albuquerque West side areas.

Once again the Aviation Explorers will be assisting and will cook lunch both Friday and Saturday. There will be pizza Thursday and good KC style BBQ on Friday night. Last year's Calcutta for the unknowns will be back as well.

The contest grew by 25% from 2022 to 2023 and we hope more pilots will come and experience the enjoyable experience that this chapter and the venue present. We are very fortunate to be able to host the Carson City Hot Air Balloon Shoot-Out. This year will be the 18th annual competitive event. We will be hosting approximately 15 hot air balloon pilots as we come together to celebrate what is great about ballooning. This group of visitors are a tight knit community that have welcomed many Carson City residents into their 'family' as crew members as well as future pilots. The original Hot Air Balloon Festival in Warren County, New Jersey, was held as a small gathering of pilots at the Warren County Farmers' Fair, in 2001. It quickly became a welcomed addition to the County Fair. In 2020, when COVID prohibited the Fair from taking place, a smaller event was held at long time sponsor, Warren Community College. There were also drone demos, to highlight the expansive drone program the College had been building.
