Bombardier Named as Presenting Sponsor for the National Aeronautic Association Records Celebration

WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 1, 2025 – The National Aeronautic Association (NAA) is pleased to announce Bombardier as the presenting sponsor for its 2025 Aviation Records Celebration at the esteemed Kansas Aviation Museum in Wichita, KS, on Friday, July 11, 2025.

As the official record keeper for United States aviation, the NAA reviews and certifies dozens of world and national record attempts each year. These records are meticulously reviewed and verified by Art Greenfield, NAA’s SVP of Contest and Records, and those qualifying as world records are ratified by the international body of air sports, the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI).

Bombardier’s unwavering commitment to aeronautic excellence aligns perfectly with the core mission of the NAA,” said Amy Spowart, NAA President and CEO. “Their participation in this essential way enables our team to recognize aviation achievement and deliver an impactful and engaging experience for all attendees. This collaboration enhances the event and gives Bombardier a unique opportunity to celebrate and showcase its enduring ties to the Wichita aerospace community—a cornerstone of aviation heritage.”

Planning is underway, and several VIPs have committed to joining the celebration. Earlier this year, Bombardier celebrated the 60th anniversary of the first business jet record by National Aviation Hall of Fame Enshrinee Clay Lacy. In 1965, with record holder John Conroy, Lacy flew a Learjet round-trip flight from Los Angeles to New York and back. This history-making flight still stands unbroken to this day. Lacy and friends David Hurley and Bruce McCaw, both Living Legends of Aviation, will attend the Wichita event.

“Striving for excellence in everything we do is intrinsic to Bombardier’s DNA, and working with the NAA on this Records Celebration perfectly aligns with this vision,” said Chris Milligan, Vice President, Certified Aircraft and Flight Operations and NAA Director. “We are honored to highlight the initiatives of those who have set incredible goals, attempted records with passion and fortitude, and ultimately found success. Your achievements inspire us all.”

While tickets are limited, the NAA’s Record Celebration is open to the public, offering a unique opportunity to witness aviation history in the making. Information about the event, including attendance and other sponsorship opportunities, can be found at naa.aero or by clicking the link here.

The National Aeronautic Association (NAA) is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to creating opportunities for full participation in aviation activities and fostering public understanding of the significance of aviation and space flight in the United States. The NAA is the steward of some of the most prestigious aviation awards globally and certifies all national aviation records set in the United States, playing a crucial and inspiring role in promoting and recognizing excellence in aviation.
